Went to see Sagan

Went to see Sagan (Diane Kurys, 2008). It is true, biopics have never been so fashionable. Nothing wrong with that, I say. Sagan is a tremendous biopic, with a distinct literary flavor. Sylvie Testud is supernaturally good in the title role and the whole movie nicely moves forward to a logical conclusion. Françoise Sagan is / was a fascinating writer. I read tonnes of Sagan in my teens and twenties, but I suppose even if you haven't read her, you may enjoy the movie; it might make you rush to the bookshop and get at least Bonjour Tristesse.
Nice interview of the moviemaker in Le Nouvel Observateur (no, the dog / cocaine scene is not historically accurate).
